Overview

Secondary students compare three methods of separating casein proteins out of milk.

Purpose

To model a bioprocessing system that extracts casein from milk, which fulfils the functionalities (characteristics) identified by the consumer. To show the dimensions of the system, for example the chemical process, the needs of the client and evidence that environmental issues have been considered.
