Overview

Year 10 students develop a mobile evidence collection system designed to collect forensic evidence from a crime scene in a reliable, repeatable way.

Purpose

This class case study investigates the effectiveness of the teaching unit plan Solving a mystery using a technological approach.

Students developed an understanding of the process of collecting evidence. The students were provided with some material for gathering evidence and their task was to research and design a mobile evidence gathering kit that provides not only instructions for use but also a suggested sequence that should be followed.
